Injury rehab funded through WorkCover or TAC โ€” no upfront cost.

WorkCover Victoria and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) both fund Exercise Physiology as part of an approved rehabilitation plan. If your claim has been accepted, your sessions at Beachside EP may be fully covered with no out-of-pocket cost to you.

At Beachside EP we are a WorkCover-approved provider. We manage all billing and communicate directly with your case manager, so you can focus entirely on your recovery and getting back to work.

Exercise Physiology is particularly effective in the WorkCover and TAC context because it focuses on measurable functional outcomes โ€” strength, capacity, and the specific physical demands of your job โ€” rather than passive treatment alone.

Does TAC cover Exercise Physiology?
Yes. The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) funds Exercise Physiology for eligible clients recovering from transport accident injuries in Victoria. Sessions are billed directly to TAC once approved, with no upfront cost to you.
Do I need a referral for WorkCover Exercise Physiology?
Yes. A referral from your treating medical practitioner โ€” typically your GP or treating specialist โ€” is required. Exercise Physiology must also be included in your approved treatment plan. What is a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)?
A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is an objective assessment of your physical ability to perform work-related tasks. Beachside EP provides FCE assessments as part of our WorkCover services.
How long will my WorkCover rehabilitation program take?
Program length depends on the nature and severity of your injury, your job demands, and your progress. Your Exercise Physiologist will develop a program with clear milestones and review points, and will provide regular reports to your case manager. We aim to get you back to work as safely and quickly as possible.
What if I am not on WorkCover or TAC โ€” can I still see an Exercise Physiologist?
Yes. Self-funded sessions are available at Beachside EP. You may also be eligible for Medicare-subsidised sessions through a GP Chronic Disease Management plan, or through private health insurance extras cover. Call us on 0409 051 260 to discuss your options.
