Diabetes Education is specialised, clinical and deeply practical
A Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) is an allied health professional who has completed additional specialist training in diabetes management beyond their base qualification. In Australia, CDEs are credentialled by the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA).
Living with diabetes means making dozens of small decisions every day, what to eat, how much to exercise, when to check your levels and how to adjust when things do not go to plan. A diabetes educator gives you the knowledge, tools and confidence to make those decisions well.
At Beachside EP, our CDEs work alongside your exercise physiologist and dietitian so your movement, nutrition and diabetes management are all working in the same direction, and your GP is kept fully informed.

We specialise in Continuous Glucose Monitoring
Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) devices measure your glucose levels in real time, 24 hours a day. They give you and your care team a complete picture of how your body responds to food, exercise, stress and sleep.
Not all diabetes educators are trained to interpret CGM data at a clinical level. Ours are. We review your reports with you, explain what the patterns mean and adjust your management plan accordingly.
Whether you are newly considering CGM or you have used one for years and want to get more from it, we can help.
