NDIS and Exercise Physiology
A registered NDIS provider โ we handle all billing directly.
Beachside Exercise Physiology is a registered NDIS provider. This means we can work with NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed participants, and we bill your plan directly so there is no out-of-pocket cost for eligible participants.
Exercise Physiology is an evidence-based allied health service that can help NDIS participants build functional capacity, manage chronic conditions, improve movement and independence, and work toward their NDIS goals. It falls under two NDIS funding categories depending on your plan goals.
We offer clinic-based sessions in Mordialloc, and can discuss home visits or group-based programs depending on your needs and funding.
What registered provider means for you
Registered with the NDIS โ not just a provider number.
Being a registered NDIS provider means Beachside EP has met the quality and safeguarding requirements set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Here is what that means in practice for participants and their families.
How your plan is managed
We work with all NDIS plan management types.
Whether your plan is managed by the NDIA, a plan manager, or yourself, Beachside EP can accommodate you.
Agency-managed
The NDIA pays providers directly from your plan. As a registered provider, Beachside EP can bill the NDIA portal directly. You do not need to handle any payments or invoices.
Through your plan manager
Your plan manager handles payments on your behalf. We send invoices directly to your plan manager โ you simply attend your sessions. You can use any registered or unregistered provider under plan management.
You manage your own funds
You pay for sessions and claim reimbursement from the NDIS portal yourself. We provide invoices with all the information you need to submit your claim. Self-managed participants have the most flexibility in choosing providers.
NDIS funding categories
Which part of your plan covers Exercise Physiology?
Exercise Physiology can be funded under two different NDIS categories depending on the goals in your plan. Check your plan or ask your Support Coordinator which applies to you.
Improved Health and Wellbeing
Also referred to as CB Daily Activity. This category covers Exercise Physiology sessions focused on maintaining or improving your health and physical function as part of your daily life. It is often included in plans where health management is a core goal.
Therapeutic Supports
This category covers Exercise Physiology sessions focused on building your capacity and independence over time โ for example, improving strength, mobility, or pain management skills. It is often used where the goal is skill-building and long-term functional improvement.
