Exercise for mental health conditions
Current research in the area suggests that exercise may be one of the best ways to combat mental health conditions. Exercise has long been known to improve mood, release positive endorphins and overall make you feel better.
This happens because exercise helps to regulate your stress hormones by triggering the release of endorphins and serotonin. This in turn helps you sleep better, aiding in recovery and helping to reduce the likelihood of long-term mental illness.
If you have had a long day and just don’t feel like it, that’s okay. Just remember that something is better than nothing, and a 5 minute walk can make a world of difference to your overall mental health.
